The Facial Map of Jing, Qi & The Five Elements
This class has been carefully crafted to include some of the most valuable face reading tools for acupuncture and shiatsu students and practitioners.
As one of the original pillars of Chinese Medicine, face reading has long been an invaluable diagnostic tool for practitioners. Early texts, such as the Yellow Emperor’s Classic, include numerous references to facial signs as diagnostic indicators, and it has also been discovered that the earliest facial maps were combined with the facial meridians and acupuncture points to guide practitioners in their healing work.
From the face, a myriad of valuable insights can be gleaned. For example, on the face signs of Jing deficiency can be seen, the flow of Qi can be evaluated and the emanation of Shen or spirit can be assessed; all of which help shine light on what the body needs for optimal balance and nourishment.
One of the greatest advantages of face reading and facial diagnosis, is the way in which signs on the face show early indications of health imbalances, so that they can be addressed before they take root or, develop into something more complex.
In this class you will:
Develop the skills to assess the constitutional strength and current health of your client as a whole, and of each of their organ systems.
Learn how to read the balance of the 5 Elements on the Face.
Discover how to assess emotional patterns and corresponding health conditions.
Learn how to pinpoint significant life events in childhood, and subsequent patterns.
Develop confidence in reading Jing and Qi markers on the face.

Natalie trained in Face Reading with Lillian Pearl Bridges, in 2006. During her lifetime, Lillian was considered to be the world’s leading authority on Face Reading and Diagnosis and is credited with bringing this body of ancient knowledge back to the field of Chinese Medicine and introducing it to Western Medicine and Business. It is a great honour for Natalie to carry forward Lillian’s legacy, teaching Face Reading and working 1-2-1 with clients.
